| 7.5 to 8 grains of real Colorado
gold in each bag. We dredge, highbank, and metal detect
in several areas in Colorado. We clean up our black sand
using our corrugated mini sluice kit, take the gold out, weigh
it, and put back into the cons. We do add some sand
to the concentrate to make it a little easier for you to pan,
but we have a lot of black sand here in Colorado, so don't be
surprised when you have a lot of it.
Most of the gold we find is fine, but we
do find small nuggets and some larger flakes that we put into
the sand in a random manner. We also find gold while metal
detecting, and some of it is specimen grade that does not always
stay together. Since these pieces are small, we throw them
into the bags on top of what we put in for some fun for you.
Watch for quartz with gold in it or small wires and crystals of
gold or silver. You might even find a large piece of
pyrite, too.
Now, we don't pretend to try to compete
with Felix. We simply do not have a mine in Alaska we can
get gold from, but if you are looking for a smaller version and
some fun in learning how to pan, then our panning sand may be
just what you are looking for. Make sure you pan over
something else so you can retrieve your sand to put your gold
back into, to practice with over and over again. |
