Corrugated Mini Sluice KIT

Are you looking for a solution to those buckets of concentrate you have stacked in your garage after dredging season?  Want the gold out of them, but you don't know how to go about getting it separated from your black sand without spooning it, or screening it 6 or 7 times?  Tired of spending way to much time sitting and watching, and spooning?  Then the battery operated, Corrugated  Mini Sluice KIT may just be your answer! A variation on the old stand by "poop tube" has you placing damp concentrate in the hopper which delivers them automatically to the mini sluice.  The recirculating pump and hose included in the kit, then delivers water down the sluice, separating the black sand from the gold.  Suck out the grooves, put in your pan, and tap out your clean gold to put into your vial.  Some people even use it with the blue bowl to eliminate some of the screening and reduce the amount of material that has to be run.  If you dredge, you need a piece of equipment that will clean up the black sands FAST.

This equipment has been around a long time, but we have added a hopper to the top that you can put your cons into, walk away and do something else while your mini sluice works the black sand off your gold.  Keep an eye on it so it doesn't get too dry or packed down, and don't fill it TOO full or it may topple over (it can get top heavy with all those heavy sands). 

 As with any equipment, a little care will have your mini sluice going through your buckets of black sand in no time.  Keep a piece of wire handy in case the material starts to pack down so you can "stir" and poke it a bit, but most of the time you will only have to add a bit of water and more damp cons to it to make it work.  Stop and suck out the grooves every so often so they don't load up so much you run your gold off.  Check the bottom bucket to see if you are losing gold.  If so, just run it again when you are finished.  A little pan work, or a run through a blue bowl and your work is done. Reduces the volume of black sand, beats the screening, it's faster and more fun.  You can even set it up in your backyard when it isn't in use and run it as a "Backyard Babbling Brook" with a prospecting theme. 

Battery operated for easy set up almost anywhere.  12 volt, 2 amp, power source is all that is required for use.  That means you can even use the cigarette lighter in your vehicle!   BATTERY IS NOT INCLUDED.  We simply are not allowed to ship them.  The kit comes with the corrugated mini sluice, pump, hoses, hopper, legs, but not the bucket.  You probably have one, and the shipping on those large items is really expensive.

The Corrugated Mini Sluice, using drain pipe, is one of the most efficient pieces of black sand separation equipment.  It is recommended that you screen your material to window screen size, checking the larger material for gold that did not go through.  Don't panic, it is easy to spot it when you put it into a pan and swirl and tap.  Anything that didn't go, through will be easy to spot by just about anyone.  The curved bottom of the corrugated drain pipe with its' deeper, wider grooves, concentrates your gold in a tighter area and does not spread it out like the flatter versions.  It is easier to suck the grooves out, too, as the grooves are not as small.  If you have ever run a sluice of any kind, then you understand the set up procedure with a mini sluice.  Set it up with a pitch of 1 inch to one  foot of tube (It's 4 feet long) with a bucket at the downhill end, and adjust it up or down depending on how fast you run your water.  Check the concentrates in the bottom of the bucket for gold that may run over if the sluice is run too fast or at too steep a pitch.  It's a good way to tell if you are running the mini sluice correctly from the start.  Suck out the grooves with your sucker bottle and run through a blue bowl or tap it out of the small amount of black sand that is left., and put your clean gold into a vial.
